DT Post #39 - Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Hi bloggers

I hope you are looking forward to a lovely weekend. I wish the rain would go away and it was a bit warmer again - I hate having to wear layers all the time.

This month our Sponsor is none other than the super talented Heather Ellis of Digi Stamp Characters.  You can buy Heathers cute images as a Digital image or in Rubbah too from Stamping Bella.  So whats up for grabs???  The winner will choose any 4 images from The Digi stamp Characters SHOP.
This week at Sweet Stampin# we are using a favourite image/stamp. I have many favourites, but this llittle girl , Daisy from Sugar Nellie, has been a long time favourite and is one I really love, so sweet and pretty. For this occasion I have layered her on to some very special papers which I have printed from my new Artylicious Essence of Nature CD. These are printed on to 160gsm paper to give some weight. I have used two co-ordinating papers. I have coloured the image with Copics. A band of lace is across the middle of the card, and a flower made from netting with a pearl tucked into the middle, along with two pearl pins. I have also embellished with a small selfcoloured butterly decorated with pearls, and a loop of pearls on the top.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

DT Posting - One Stop Craft Challenge has summer fun

Good morning, and welcome to another One Stop Craft Challenge, and this week we are having summer fun.

I have followed a sketch from this week's Lili of the Valley challenge

My little boy has decided he wants to sail his boat, so off he goes.  The image is Lili of the Valley, Sail Boat.  I have coloured in Copics, and have paper pieced the sail to co-ordinate with the background papers, which are all Bearly Mine designs.  The border across the card has a punched edge for which I used a Stampin' Up border punch.  The co-ordinating buttons have blue thread through them.

I am also entering this for the following challenges:

Lexis Creations, Challenge #19 - paper piecing, where there is also a DT call

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #95 - It's a man's world

One bossy little girl .... DT Card Sweet Stampin'

Hi bloggers

Welcome to Saturday morning, and it is Sweet Stampin' time again.  Today there is a great sketch to follow.  I must admit I do like sketches - it is always interesting to see how it is going to turn out because there are often many options in the way it can be used.  I have followed this, but have added a couple of extra embellishments!!  Who would have guessed.  Some cormers and a flower which I have made with the same papers that I have used for the background.

My image is a Mo Manning digital pencil one, called Bossy - what does she look like!.  I have coloured with copics, to tone in with the paper, which are 29th Street Market.  I have a Bazzill Swiss Dot in Green for the background.  Behind Bossy is a Nestie pendant die.  I used this instead of the usual one size up on the image.  The flowers are cut with Marianne's Creatables Die, and a ribbon across the middle finishes the whole thing off.

I am entering this for the following challenges:
PaperPlay Challenges Wk 30 - Anything Goes
Dutch Dare #83 - Anything Goes
Blog-a-Doodle by Stamp-n-Doodle - Anything Goes

One Stop Craft Challenge #90 - DT Card

Hi everybody

I hope you are looking forward to the weekend, and the fine weather we are due to have here in the south.  I must say though, that the rain we had for a couple of days has really helped the garden, although one really sunny day, and it will be very dry again.

This is my DT card for the One Stop Craft Challenge..   We are following a sketch provided by Lisa, and she has asked that an element of metal is included in the card as well.    This week One Stop Craft Challenge is sponsored by Tiffany Doodles, where you will find some great digital images at very reasonable prices.

My image is Birdy Hugs from Tiffany Doodles, which I have coloured with Copics and shadowed round the edge of the card with Distress Inks, and added a couple of sparkly bits to her hair.

The background card is Coredinations, and the spotted paper is from Bearly Mine Designs.  They have quite an array of colours in each theme, so it is very easy to co-ordinate them.  I have put the white card through the cuttlebug with a dots folder.  The image has been raised on foam pads to give some dimension.  The flowers are a mix of Prima and Petalloo.  The sentiment is computer generated, and my metal element is the butterly.

I am also entering this for the Daring Cardmakers - Layer it Up.

DT Post - Sweet Stampin'

Hi everybody

Hope you have all had a great week, and are looking forward to the weekend.  I am just hoping the Wimbledon finals will be as exciting as some of the other matches this week.

On to the Sweet Stampin' Challenge this week - Pearls 'n' Pins.  We are really excited to be sponsored by Quixotic Paperie, and the prize is a £15.00 Gift Voucher to spend in their on-line shop, which has some brilliant stuff for sale - lovely DPs, stamps, altered art, new Viva Deco paint, stamps, etc, etc.  Have a look here.

My image for this card is Lili of the Valley - New Hat.  I think she is gorgeous, and I love hats.  The sentiment is Hobby Art.  The papers are MME Pretty Please, with co-ordinating Bazzill.

I have coloured the image with Copics, the flowers, which are from Wild Orchid Crafts are edged with Stickles, and I have added ribbon, pearls and pins from stash.

I followed a sketch from the LOTV Challenge, no.56, for which I am entering this card.

I am also entering for the following challenges:

The Corrosive Challenge, #70 - Flowers, flowers

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

One Stop Craft Challenge - DT Post

The theme at OSCC is Pink and Brown.  How easy is that you may think - well I love these colours - they go together well, and I thought easy-peasy - not so!  So I am not sure I am completely happy with what I have done ....

My image is Lili of the Valley - Glamourous Gardening.  I think if I gardened like this the neighbours might think I am mad - indeed I might tilt myself into the raised borders if I had high heels on!!!   However, I do have a big hat for sunny days.

I have coloured with Copics.  The papers are Stampin' Upm and everything else is from stash  No roses, but some paper flowers, which are all Prima, with a pearl brad through them.  I have also added some pearls to the bottom of the little girl's necklace.

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

Get your sunglasses out!

Time flies, and I have another card.  Again I have used a lovely Sarah Kay image, Spring is Back, but I think it evokes summer  with her pretty suntop.  However, I am slightly out of my comfort zone with the colours I have chosen, just because I wanted to use these lovely MME Market Street papers.  I have sparyed the papers with Glimmer Mist Irridescent Gold to give a summery shimmer.

Cute Card Thursday have a sketch to follow, which has been put together by the very talented Claudia.

I have coloured with Copics.  The ribbon across the middle is from stash, and I have used flowers from Wild Orchid crafts - which I seem to have gone over the top on!  These have been edged with Stickles.  The pearls are from stash.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday #117 - followed the sketch above
Paper Sundaes Challenge #23 - Pretty as a Princess
Meljens Designs #12 - Fibre, ribbon or lace - I have used ribbon
Totally Gorjuss Challenge #35 - Sugar and Spice
Charisma Card Challenge #24 - All about bling

Summery and Girlie ...

No shade in my garden at the moment, so I am writing this post to go with my summery and girlie card.  I know I often say that 'oh - this is my favourite' something or other - but Sarah Kay images come in the tops as well for me.  They are so pretty and offer so many colouring possibililites, and I like the hats!

My  lovely lady - Isabelle with puppy Coco - is my card for today.  I have used Copics for colouring, and have given it bright summery pinks.  The papers used are ScribbleScrabble, and two different types of Bazzill - Bling and Swiss Dot.  The ribbon is Stampin Up' and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, liberally doused with crystal Stickles, and some fern leaves made with a punch.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

Stamp Something - Summery
Cutie Sunday #97 - Summer
Bunny Zoe's Craft's Monthly Challenge #1 - Nice and Girlie

Mojo Monday meets .........

Happy Father's Day to all you fathers out there.

Another day, another card.  I have followed the sketch from Mojo Monday for this.

This card is something I have not done for a while, and even though I say so myself , I am quite pleased with it.  The images are from two Elusive Images plates - Eastern Grasses and Fresh Florals, both available from Graphicus.  I love the delicacy of the grasses, and the floral images are so life like.  This was a lucky mistake, because I stamped with Versafine, and was going to watercolour, and not concentrating properly picked up my Copics and started colouring!  Normally I would not use Versafine with Copics - however no smudges from the black ink at all.

The sentiment is computer generated, with some gems from stash.  The papers are Stampin' Up.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

Mojo Monday #143 - following the sketch provided
Creative Card Crew #52 - Thank you
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Ice Cream Flavours - well my favourite of all time is Blackcurrant, which I remember from a holiday in France, so these colours represent that.  Second comes Raspberry.  Yummy!!  However,  you could put one of every flavour possible in front of me and I would eat the lot .....

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments

Who's going to win the race?

Another card for a boy or maybe a 'little boy' who is actually much older! This is another Lili of the Valley image, Computer Fun, and how many of our older generation spend just as much time in front of the computer playing games / X-Box as the younger ones ...

I had started this card for another challenge, but then I realised it had to be CAS - which this is not!.

I have coloured with Copics.  The papers are Basic Grey Granola, and I have added a few buttons with thread for embellishment.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Crafty Cardmakers #23 - Cards for Men
Creative Inspirations #65 - One for the Boys
Magical Crafts #17 - Something for a male

A lazy Sunday afternoon - Sweet Stampin'- DT Post

Hi everybody

Hope you are all looking forward to the weekend.  As I write this, on what was supposed to be a warm, sunny day, it is cold, miserable and raining, and I am wearing a thck fleece over two t-shirts.  Aaargh!

The challenge on Sweet Stampin' this week is clean and simple.  To most people this is probably not clean and simple, but I was just itching to use this LOTV image for a male card.  I have coloured with Copicsa, used Nesties to cut out the image, and the textured background is a Tim Holtz embossing folder which I have run through the Cuttlebug, and then lightly rubbed over some Distress Ink.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

CAS-tastic Challenge #8 - Father's Day
Cupcake Craft Challenge #95 - One for the Boys
Cards for Men #12 - Father's Day
Stampin' Royalty #24 - Masculine theme

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

Baby, baby .........

Hi everybody

I hope you are all looking forward to the weekend.  I certainly am - going to be up at the crack of dawn on Sunday to go to the Craft Barn with my friend Anne, for a day of shopping and seeing all the demonstrators, such as Lin  from LB Crafts, Suze Weinberg, Jean from Crafty Individuals, Leandra from PaperArtsy, and more and more.  Can't wait.

Anyway, on to this card.  I don't often do baby cards, but the other week on a little  spree to the Stamp Attic in Wantage I picked up some just delish papers by Scribble Scrabble called Circus Baby.  Just so yummy and very pretty colours.  So I have broken into one sheet.  It is lovely to find something where both sides are so useable for the ame project.  So out came my Baby Boy stamp from Lili of the Valley.  Isn't he cute with his doggie stroller.  I can remember mine from ??? years ago!  I have coloured with Copics, and added flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, and some punched leaves.  The sentiment is computer generated.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Lili of the Valley #55 - a sketch is provided by Dawnie
A Spoon Ful of Sugar # 107 - Floral delight
Crafty Creations #71 - Child's play
Creative Inspirations #64 - Babies

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

Raymond has taken his eye off the ball ....

This is retired Raymond - a golfer - and it looks as if this is all he wants to do all day.  However, I think he is in the rough, and he has not got his eye on the ball - as there is a bird sitting right by his club!

Dad, was not, and never has been a golfer, but even at 90 he likes a good joke, and  I know he will find this amusing.

Raymond is a High Hopes stamp - I just love their quality, and the fact that they come cut and ready-mounted on a backing, so you can start work with them straight away.  I have coloured this with Copics, and roughly scuffed some distress inks over because I wanted it to look like the ball is in the rough.  The tree backgound and bird are also added extras.  Papers are Basic Grey and Core-dinations.  Ribbon is from atash.

High Hopes Challenge # 79 - Father's Day
Double Dutch #45 - Dad's Treat
My Partner in Crime #4 - Show Papa some love
Sentimental Sundays #6 - New or neglected stash - new stash is the stamp
Alphabet Challenge Blog - G is for Green
CRAFT Challenge #54 - Father's Day or card for a man

Fussy and Fancy - more is better ...

This card  is based on a sketch created by the very talented Mindy for the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge.

I have used a lovely image from Lili of the Valley, Born to Shop, as the main image.  The Sentiment is Penny Black, and I cannot tell you what the other one is - it is so old and dirty.  I coloured with Copics and liberally doused the edges with Stickles Stardust, which has also gone on the flowers.  The lovely roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts, as is the sparkly buckle, and the other items are from stash.  The plain dusky blue card is from a Core'dinations pack, and the mottled blue is from the Bearly Mine designs Vintage Collection.  The punch used for the fancy edge at the top is a Martha Stewart.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Hedgie looks surprised .... to see a bee

Hi everybody

I hope you are having a brill weekend.  The weather has been great, but I don't do this humidity.  I might if I had a lovely pool or the Caribbean sea to jump into!!

Anyway, as I just found it too hot to sit outside, (crazy I know), I decided to retreat to my craft room and make a card.  This is a Penny Black stamp, Just Buzzin' By.  I think it is quite cute with the little face on the bee.  I have coloured with Copics, and the flower has been decoupaged - something I would not normally do, but I thought it lent itself to this treatment.  I have been covered the flower with Glossy Accents, as well as the little flower in the grass.  The wings of the bee have been glittered with Stickles Star Dust.  The patterned paper is from a K & Co pack, and the plain card stock is all Bazzill.

The swirls are cut from the new Tim Holtz die.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Prima, and the pins are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

This card is being entered into the following challenges:

Weddings .....

We appear to be walking into the wedding season with the beginning of May.  So I am following.

My card is a Lili of the Valley image, and I am ashamed to say that this is it's first inking!!  Bad lady ...  I think they are very cute couple.  My bride is slightly non-traditional, as I decided to give her a pale blue gown, and also another first, I have cut an out of frame nestie, following the very easy tutorial from the lovely Rach.  This can be found here

The image is coloured in Copics.  The background papers, which are very neutral, silvery grey, are printed from the Decadent Brocade CD available from Graphicus, on to White Silver Shimmer Card, which gives a lovely sheen  I have just slightly modified the intensity to get differing tones of the same sheet.  This is mounted on to Bazzill Bling card.  No idea what colour - but I think it was out of a Wisteria colour match pack.  Lace and ribbon are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, with punches used for leaves, and also the double edging across the middle.  The sentiment is from Magnolia, which I bought at the NEC.   I have also used Stardust stickles to give a little bling.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

Charisma Card Challenge, week 20 - its all about weddings
One Stop Craft Challenge, no. 79 - wedding wishes and DT call
CRAFT Challenge, no. 49, - wedding or birthday

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

Is it really May?

We had hailstones yesterday and it has totally battered my lovely tulips in their pots.

This is the first time I seem to have got a decent coloured image of this stamp, although I have had it for some while.  The Sweet Pea stamps are quite exotic looking, and this is what I have tried to convey with this image, which is ching-chou kuik's Love is Gone.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

I have used Crate Paper, Plum Blossom paper, and the patterned paper is the reverse of the orange one.  The image is coloured with copics, and I have used a Sakura Clear glittery pen for accents, and some Stickles StarDust.  Ribbon is from stash and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, with leaves punched with Martha Stewart and Leome punches.  The dies for the background papers I bought at the NEC and are from Little Claire - they go throught he Cuttlebug really well.  Sentment is quite old and very inky, so not sure what it is.

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.
