More News ........ and a card

WOW! - I can hardly belive it, I have been chosen as a designer for Digital Delights by Looby Loo.  They have some fabby digital images, and one must have is a new set of ticket greetings.

This is my first card for them.  The images are Cutie Pie Rosie and Baked with Love. 

I have coloured Rosie with Copics, and used Stickles to highlight.  The edge of the card backing Rosie has been coloured with Distress Ink to make it pop a little.  The puches used are Martha Stewart and Stampin' Up.  My papers are K & Co, and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Snowy blues .... for several challenges

A card that seems somewhat appropriate given all the snow everywhere today.  My cats have been sitting at the window mesmerized with the snowflakes floating down.

 

 

 

 

Once again I have chosen a lovely Lili of the Valley stamp for this card.  Ths one is called Skating Along.  I have coloured with Copics, with copious amounts of glitter on the furry parts of her clothings, and added some silvery glass shards to the ice.  The sentiment is also Lili of the Valley from one of their newly released sets.  The papers are from a Bearly Mine Christmas set.  Edge punch is Martha Stewart as are the snowflakes.  The flowers are, as ever, from Wild Orchid Crafts.

T'was the night before Christmas ...

Another Christmas card today.  I bought this lovely Sarah Kay image - Noel Peace -  last year and never used it.  I think it is so sweet.

I have coloured this lovely little angel with Copics, and she is peeking out from behind the curtain at the night sky - hence all the crystals added to it.  My papers are from the Basic Grey Figgy Pudding range, and sadly this is the last of this particular one.  I edged all round the patterned paper with a versamark embossing pen and  dipped the edges into Starlight embossing  powder.  I have also done the same with the snowflake border towards the bottom.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and I have removed the centre of the Christmas rose and replaced it with a brad.  The lush satin ribbon is an ebay purchase.  The acetate snowflakes are covered with Glamour Dust.

DT Card - Lexi's Creations - Birthdays

Hello Monday morning bloggers.  Hope you had a great weekend.

 I had a brill time on Saturday at a workshop with Hels Sheridan.  Lots of fun and chatter, and some lovely stuff produced by all the lovely people there.   Ohhh!  Too many 'lovelies' ......

This week we are celebrating Birthdays here at Lexi's Creations.  The reason - well this Challenge Blog came into being this time last October.  So it is our 1st Birthday.

For my card I have used two of Lexi's images - Tessie Turtle and a sentiment.  The image is coloured in copics - really not sure what colours turtles should be, and I have to say that some I saw last year in Tobago Cays certainly did not look this colour!!  The papers are from the Basic Grey Origins paper pad.  The border along the bottom is punched with a Martha Stewart punch.  Flower and pearls from stash.

DT Post - Lexi's Creations meets several challenges ...

The weekend seems to have flown by, and it is wet Monday again!!!  I image my dear BIL is going back to work today very unhappy - he is a golfer, and as his daughter lives virtually on top of Celtic Manor in Wales, she got him tickets for his birthday for the practice days and  match days for the Ryder Cup, and the majority of the time it has been totally awash down there.

So, Monday is also the day for Lexi's Creations, and the theme is Spooky.

I have used Vamp Girl from Lexi.  She has been coloured with copics, with some sparkle given to her Wings and Boots.  Don't you just love those holey stockings.  It certainly takes me back some years!

The orange wash background paper has been stamped with a spider, and just below the lace I have stamped a cat, which is trying to look a little scarey.  As I do not have a cobweb punch I used a lacy one to make it look a little webby, though I know it won''t fool most people.  My sentiment is computer generated, and I have added a flower from Prima, which has been in my stash for white a while.

DT Post - Lexi's Creations - Picture Perfect

Good morning to one and all
I hope you have had a great weekend, and have had some crafty playtime.

Monday brings Lexi's Creations and a new challenge.  This time we are asking for a photograph to be included in the project.  It does not have to be a card - it can be whatever you want - scrapbook page, tag, etc.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset

and the prize is some wonderful Promarkers.

So let's get on to my card.

For this card, I used a very pale pink Bazzill Swiss Dot cardstock, and combined it with two papers from a K & Co box of mixed papers.  I have used a Martha Stewart punch on the edges of the borders going down and across my card.  The leaves, dragonfly and swirl and all Magnolia die cutes, and the flower is Prima.  The sentiment, is from a range of brilliant sentiments created by Lexi, all available here.

DT Card - Lexi's Creations

Good morning everybody

It's Monday.  Uugh!!! You many say,  BUT it's also time for Lexi's Creations, This week our Sponsor is the fabulous Joanna Sheen…

This week we want to see flowers on your projects.  My card the week is fairly simple, but I think quite effective.

My card uses a lovely sentiment from Lexi, available here, and given that it is also my wedding anniversary on Wednesday, it really serves as a reminder that my dear OH deserves something from me - but maybe not so girly.  We will see!  I have added some little pinky mauve hearts around the sentiment as well.  The background paper is from the Elusive Images Essence of Nature CD by Glenda Waterworth.  I have cut butterflies from the same paper, hearts from a cuttlebug die, and added a Prima rose which tied in really well with the colour theme.

DT Card Lexi's Creations

Happy Monday.

The start of another journey for me.  This is my first DT card for Lexi's Creations.  This week the theme is Emboss It!, so you will see lots of different types of embossing on the teamies cards.  Please do pop over to the blog and have a look at all the wonderful projects.

For this card  - which is my first Christmas Card - I have used Sammie Snowman, which is available here, and who is wishing everybody a Merry Christmas.  This has been coloured with Copics and liberally glimmered with Stickles on his hat and scarf, and for good measure just a little bit of Glamour Dust as well.   The backing paper is Frosted Lace,  which  is a freebie download you can get here.  I have darkened the colours for printing,  The silver card across the middle been put through the Cuttlebug in a star embossing folder, and the snowflakes are also die cuts.  I have added Glamour Dust to the poinsetta to give it some sparkle as well.
