I have come home on such a high - and will blog about this later with some photos.

For One Stop Card Crafts this time  we want to see Spring Flowers.

This is Bernadette Admiring the Spring Flowers.  I have colours with Copics.  My papers are MME So Sophie, and the cardstock is Coredinations.  I have used a Magnolia Doo Hickey die for the swirls and dragonfly.  The pretty two tone roses are from Joanna Sheen, and I have used pearls and lace from stash.

Digital Delights DT card

Good morning everyone

When you read this I will be sitting in a class room with the delightful, fabulous, amazing Tim Holtz getting my hands all inky, and learning lots of new stuff.  How exciting can that be!  Sigh ...........Did you see him on QVC on Tuesday?  .

My images are Bride and Groom, and the sentiment is from the Wedding and Anniversary Sentiment Set.   I have coloured the image with Copics.

All my papers are from an Elusive Images CD - Essence of Nature.  I love the ethereal look of the grasses.  The cardstock is Coredinations, which I have had for some time.  The plain panel in the middle has some seam binding looped over it.  The very prettywhite  roses down the side were a very recent purchase from Joanna Sheen, and the pale apricot ones - to match the flower in the bride's hair - are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  A white satin ribbon is looped through the flowers.  The gems are from stash, and just ramdonly placed to give some bling.

I have followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday for this card.

A flower for Less is More ....

In the interests of trying to restrain myself from covering everything with lush flowers, I am continuing my efforts of entering Less is More.  It is now week 2, and  this week is the challenge is a  ONE LAYER CARD  with the theme of a flower or three.  I cannot remember when I last did a one layer card.  Anyway I wasted all Thursday afternoon trying to get a decent image from a fabby  Personal Impressions stamp which is like a dandelion blowing in the wind.  I have had this sometime and not inked it up before.  Well I failed miserably - whatever ink or cardstock I used.

So this is my entry, and I have added a score line down the side and across the bottom to frame the image.

I am entering this for the following challenge:

CCEE Stampers - use scoring

I really appreciate it that you take the time to look at my blog and leave such lovely comments. Thank you each and every one of you.

Digital Delights - Cleaning Bear

Hi everybody

I don't know where the last few days have gone - but disappear they have!  Today is time for my latest card for Digital Delights, and I am using Cleaning Bear.  Now I know that H*******K is a dirty word in the for most of us in the crafting world, so I hope you appreciate my sentiment!

My card is based on a sketch from Friday Sketchers.  I have used papers from Nitwits Collections - I am really loving these are the moment.  I have coloured my image with Copics, and have computer generated the sentiment.  Towards the end of last year I was lucky enough to win a Joanna Sheen voucher in a challenge, and have been trying to decide what to purchase with them - well I spied these very pretty daisies at the weekend, and just had to have them, and coincidentally they are a perfect match with the paper I have used.  I also bought some white ones so that i can spray them whatever colour I need.  I have also used Nesties, Martha Stewart and Stampin' Up punches, and some ribbon from Stampin'Up.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

Friday Sketchers - Sketch
Stampin' Royalty - Use markers
Copic Creations - Warm Colours
Everybody Art - A recipe
I really appreciate it that you take the time to look at my blog and leave such lovely comments. Thank you each and every one of you.

Hi Everybody

As it is coming up to Valentine's Day, I decided to have two little bumble bees, but I really could not colour one of them differently, but just image that one is a little girlie bee!

I have coloured with copics, and highlighted the edges of the wings and the little feelers on the top of their heads with gold Stickles.  My papers are from Nitwits (I just love their papers).  I have edged the gold star paper with Distres Inks in Scattered Straw and Walnut.  I have used a Martha Stewart punch to create a flowery border, and added some black lace.  The two heart circular pieces are Nesties.  The sentiment is computer generated.

Less is More - A new challenge on the block

Good morning bloggers

A lovely crafting buddy of mine, Chrissie, and her friend Mandi, have started a new challenge blog - Less is More.  Anybody who follows Chrissie will know that she is the master of less is more, and that she produces fabulously elegant cards.  The theme for the first challenge is Pink, Black and White.

Most people who know me realise that I find this style of card very difficult - all the space makes me nervous.  Anyway I decided to take the plunge.  The pink image is from an Elusive Images plate that I have had for a long time, and very rarely used, and there were several images from that one plate I could have used for this challenge.  The sentiment is from the same plate.  I stamped the image with a ColourBox chalk ink, and the image and the black mount have been cut with a Nestie die.  However, I couldn't resist just a little bit of sparkle, so three pink gems have been added as well.

I am entering this for the following challenges:
Aly's Sunday sketch - Bling
StampArtic - Clean and Simple

I really appreciate it that you take the time to look at my blog and leave such lovely comments. Thank you each and every one of you.

I have used Bazzill cardstock, and the DT papers are MME Bella Bella, which I adore - I love the vintage look of them.  I have inked around the edges with a chalk ink in brown.  On the pieces underneath the photograph I have used a Doo Hickey die on the edge of the plain card, and stamped the patterned paper with a very old Anna Griffin music stamp.  The swirls are Tim Holtz, leaves under the flowers are Doo Hickey and L-Em, and the butterflies are Martha Stewart.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and pearls from stash.  The beautiful photograph is from Art Freebies.
