Let's Ink It Up - DT Call

Let's Ink It Up  have a DT call, and this sounds right up my street.   It is a challenge blog that does not allow you to use digis but has fantastic inky weekly challenges.

They are looking for 2 or 3 new members to the team who want to be involved in their exciting challenge blog, who love rubber/clear stamping and who love to get inky.   Bring it on, I say.  That sounds just what I would love to do more of and would really relish this opportunity.  It would give me the opportunity to get back to my roots which is how I started out moons ago when I first started stamping.

So to be eligible for consideration I need to show 3 of my favourite projects using rubber or clear stamps and ink.   I have chosen - in no particular order -

A canvas which has been painted and stamped. Metal has been inked, stamped and embossed, leaves stamped and cut out from metal, with flowers, cage and bird from die cuts. The tiny flowers all over are sequins recoloured with Inka Gold.

Stamping, resist embossing, and making own background paper

A set of two cards showing the use of spray inks.  The first allows the the Moon Girl and Heart which have been stamped and triple embossed, and welded together with the paper clipping to take centre stage, with a lot of white space.  On the second the image has been stamped several times, and parts paper pieced to complete the image.

I hope I have given enough idea of what for me had been an abiding passion, and would relish to do more of in the environment offered.

A vision of loveliness for Sweet Stampin'

Good morning everybody

Saturday is Sweet Stampin' time, and this week we have a great sketch for you all to follow.  I think sketches are probably my favourite way of putting a card together.

I make no apologies for using the same image as my previous post!  It is LOTV,  It's My Party - I just love her, and the beaded skirt reminds me of one a friend has which cost oodles in Italy, it is randomly beaded, and round the bottom has a deep layer of scrumptious lace.  I think my mother would probably have said it reminded her of me as well!!

For my card I have used some fabulous flocked paper from the GCD Paris Nights pad.  The spot paper underneath the lace is also from the same pack.  Nesties, Martha Stewart and Stampin Up punches, and Doo Hickey dies and Stickles have been used.  The flower is Prima, as are the two embellishments either side of the sentiment.  Lace from stash, and the beads/glitter on the skirt is Art Glitter Gala Glitz.

Our Sponsor this week is Simply Betty Stamps, where you will find some fun digis and stamps, and lots of other goodies.   Our monthly spomsor is Whimsy Stamps.

For those of you who may have read my previous post about the gastroenterisits problem I have been having, well lucky me, I had a call from my doctor yesterday morning  (actually he is very dishy - used to be in the army and I can just image him in uniform!! OMG it must be the meds I am on!!), and I have food poisoning so have been given antibiotics to help get me back to some semblance of normal - whatever that is.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Crafty Catz - Flowers
Delicious Doodles - Spots or Stripes
Fairy Knoll - Flowers
Polka Doodles - Party Time
Stampin' B's - Use a Song - mine is It's My Party
Crafts and Me - Monochrome - I hope this counts!!
Top Tip Tuesday - Fabulous Flowers
Craft Your Passion - Use two patterned papers
Paper Playtime - Party
Pollycraft Monday - Black, White and one other colour
Woodware USA - Anything goes
The Crafty Pad - Something Girly
Creative Inspirations - Inspired by your favourite colour - mine is Black - mixed with other colours - this case cream/gold
Let's Ink It Up - Anything Goes

I really appreciate it that you take the time to look at my blog and leave such lovely comments. Thank you each and every one of you.

A vision of loveliness in pink, pearls, lace and ribbon!

.... Or she might be if she did not have such a scowl on her face!  But a really fun image from Lili of the Valley.

This is the first crafting I have done, since I had a fabby day with my friend Anne, when we started on a canvas project and Anne taught me a few inky things and how to put a stamped image on to a candle (no - I've never done it before).  I have a gastroenteritis bug - but we don't know whether it is that or food poisoning - I am still waiting for my test results.  I was being so ill  Monday night/Tuesday morning that my dear OH called the doctor.  I have been living on toast and occasional bowls of soup.

So on to my card.  I have used the lovely LOTV image It's my Party, which I have coloured in Copics.   I have followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday.  My papers are Crate Paper Restoration, I have added lace, which has ribbon threaded throught it,  and pearls from stash, and flowers from WOC.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Phindy's Place - Lace and Pearls
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Do you stack up - Patterned paper
The Rubber Cafe - Sparkle and Glitter
Cooking it up with Katie - Sketch me a textured punch
Freshly Brewed - Photo inspiration for colours
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - Anything goes

I really appreciate it that you take the time to look at my blog and leave such lovely comments. Thank you each and every one of you.

Sweet Stampin' DT - Add a photo

Good morning to one and all

The week has flown by for me.  Monday was the day I was in hospital to have x-ray guided injections to help the arthritis in my hands, and since Wednesday my hands have been totally pain free - for the first time in more than six months - in fact longer than I can actually remember.   It is such a relief to be able to move my fingers again, and to find that I can do things again that for the last few months have been really difficult.  I don't know how long the effects of this are likely to last, and I am meeting the consultant in approximately two months to discuss the way forward.

Saturday again, and for me today that is Sweet Stampin'.  The challenge this week has been chosen by Alie, and we would like to see a photograph on your challenge entry.  So, lots of opportunities for the scrappers out there.

So, on to my card.  My photo is from Art Freebies, where you will find lots of lovely photographs, posters, and bits and pieces.  I have printed it out in Greyscale only using the black cartridge, and it has given it a lovely soft finish.  The papers are from Nitwits 'With this Ring'.  I have used lace, a pink silk ribbon bow, flowers, and pearls to embellish the card.  The heart borders and heart cut outs are Martha Stewart, and the sentiment is Lili of the Valley.  The flowers and hearts have been glittered with Stickles.  Why is it that black never looks black in my photos - this time it looks like navy blue!!

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Scrapbook Sisters - Heart's Desire
Wags 'n' Whiskers - With Love
MAWTT - Make your dreams come true
Southern Girls Challenge - Totally Loved
Stamp Insanity - Let it all hang out - elements off the edge
Fheshly Brewed - Black, White and one other colour - mine is pink
Top Tip Tuesday - Anything goes
Scrap Creations - Love is in the air
Stamping Scrapping Central - Flowers
Phindy's Place Challenge - Valentine or a loved one
One Stitch at a Time - Love or Valentine
Lexi's Creations - Say it with Love
Stampavie and More - Glitter - it is there but does not show up very much
Stampin'Bs - Use a die cut

This week we have a fabby sponsor, Tiddly Inks, and they are offering the winner $10 to spend in their store, and don't forget if you enter any Sweet Stampin' challenge this month, you are in with a chance to win a prize from Whimsy Stamps.

I really appreciate it that you take the time to look at my blog and leave such lovely comments. Thank you each and every one of you.

Wow - I am the Guest Designer for January

at Incy Wincy Designs, and this is my first post for them.

The Challenge is inviting you to GO DOTTY, and I have certainly done that.  In fact I am seeing spots before the eyes!  Incy Wincy is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps, who provided the image for this card.  They  make some fabby digital images, and there is usually a freebie there every Friday as well.  I have reversed the image and printed it twice.

My papers are from Nitwit Collections - Hooligans - which I thought really suits this image.  All the colouring is Copics, and I have added lots of Glossy Accents to the spots and bows to make them pop.  The sentiment is computer generated, and the ribbon is from stash.

Please pop along to the Incy Wincy Challenge blog to have a look at all the lovely creations from the team.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

Catch the Bug Challenge - Anything goes
Crafty Emma - All creatures great and small
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Tons of Texture
Stamp Something - Digi Challenge
Charisma Cardz - Birthday

Now, I am relying on Mr Google to do his bit, as I will be in hospital on Monday having x-ray guided injections into my hands for my arthiritis when this goes live, so wish me luck!  Thank goodness they are putting me out .....

I really appreciate it that you take the time to look at my blog and leave such lovely comments. Thank you each and every one of you.

A card for a child - One Stop Card Craft Challenge meets several others

Hi everybody

What happened to the sun that came out Friday morning?  Who switched it off?   It has been dark, damp, dingey and cold since then.  Well - I knews I had to get my entry done for the One Stop Card Crafts Challenge, and that I needed to start on sorting out my craft room.  Easier said than done me thinks, but I have made a start.

At One Stop Card Crafts this week we want to see a card for a child.  We are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish.   The have a large range of digital stamps and papers - so why not go along and check them out.

Please pop along to One Stop Card Crafts to have a look at the fabby creations of the team, and enter our challenge.

For my card this week, I have followed the sketch from the Lili of the Valley Challenge.  I have also used an an LOTV image called Big Present, and I think you can see why - poor little boy - the present is almost as big as he is.  My papers are from Nitwit Collections, Bear Boys To.  The dark brown cardstock is some I discovered when having a sort - it is Cordinations Chocolate range - with brown one side and blue the other, so I used the reverse side for the corner pieces and the backing on the greeting.  I have used Copics for colouring.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Lili of the Valley Challenge - - following a sketch by Dena
Charisma Cardz Challenge - Birthday
Crafty Sentiments - Anything goes
Moving Along with the Times - Ring out the old, ring in the new (Old - stamp I have had for more than 6 months, paper bought this week)

Wow - January 1st - and it's Sweet Stampin' time again .......

Good morning revellers.  Here's wishing everybody, a Happy, Healthy, and above all, Peaceful 2011.

It is Sweet Stampin' time again, and we have chosen to ask you to illustrate  Your Favourite Song.   What I have illustrated is not my favourite song, but one I really like.  In fact, I was a bit stumped as to how I could represent my favourite song - Your Song - without a picture of Elton John in it.  So I have chosen Lady in Red.

I have used a lovely Lili of the Valley image, coloured her with Copics, and gilded her wings with Diamond Stickles.  The papers are Bearly Mine.  The fab flowers and red glass sprigg  are from WOC.

Do pop along to Sweet Stampin' to have a look at all work from the other teamies, and have a go at our challenge.

Our Sponsor for the Month is Whimsy Stamps, and for this week Tiffany Doodles, and both companies are offering 5 digital images to the winners.
