A wonderful inky day .........

I had a brill distress inky day yesterday with Hels and 4 other lovely ladies - Annette, Brenda, Sue, and Sue, at the Stamp Attic in Wantage.  We focussed around making a tag book with 15 different distress ink techniques, which is now a really useful tool for the future, especially as I have written on the back what each technique is and how it was done.  Although I have read through Lord Tim's CCC,  it was great to work with Hels and work through these samples with her.  I really liked the addition of the grungepaper tag to hold the while thing together.

We were liberally supplied with coffee, chocs and biscuits, and worked in Wendy's lovely studio at the Stamp Attic which is very bright and airy.  If you are within driving distance I would say to anybody - go visit - the shop is a bounty of lovely crafty stash of all sorts - whatever your style you will find something to suit.  And there are lots of lovely classes to attend.

Below are some pics of my favourite techniques:

  2. Thanks Val for this post. Living so far away, my only chance of seeing stuff like this is from folks who have been able to attend a workshop. You clearly had a great time!

  6. Didn't we learn some great techniques? Your book is going to be a lovely and useful reference manual!

Thanks for your nice comment on my blog. I do not have any tools for using beeswax either---I should buy some really. I melt the wax in an oilburner with 2 tealights under it and then use an old paintbrush, tweezers, scissors and some baking parchment as a craft mat. No high tech for me.

    Take care
