An Unscripted Sketch

My second post today is for  Unscripted Sketches.  The idea around this was to be a one layer for me - but it did not work.  So this is my final result.  I decided to use only Tim Holtz stamps and dies for this - it is a mixture from a couple of sets.

I have brushed distress inks in various colours across the card, and then overstamped.  I then cut out a cage and bird to go on top, and added a piece of ribbon to be top.  Easy peasy!

I am entering this for the following challenges@

Crafty Catz - Anything goes
Crafty Emma CES Challenges - Embellish it
Truly Scrumptious - Anything goes

I really appreciate it that you take the time to look at my blog and leave such lovely comments. Thank you each and every one of you.

I'm Unscripted again ..........

Saturday again, so it is time for an Unscripted Sketch.  You can do what you like with the sketch  - flip the sketch, rotate it… create a card, a scrapbook page, or anything your imagination comes up with!  There is no right or wrong way, as long as you are using the Unscripted Sketch as the inspiration and basis of your creation!

For me - I have pretty much stuck to the original sketch.  The colours of the card derived from the Crafty Individuals stamp I used during my crafty day with my friend Anne.  We had a fab time stamping and colouring - and chatting  - because we had not seen each other for quite a while.  I  coloured my card with carious Distres Inks and then stamped over it.  The ducks were then coloured with Distres Inks used as water colours.  This was mounted on to a piece of black card.  The base is two pieces of card that I have embossed with Tim Holtz embossing folders and then coloured with distress inks.  I have tied some twine around the middle, and added some leaves and a green gem in the middle.  (The twine was great value a pack of 8 rolls in different colours  - 15 metres each - for £4.00 from my local garden centre).

I am entering for this for the following challenges:

Card Creations and more - embossing
Scrap, Stamp and Doodle - Old supplies
Stamp Something - Anything goes - 3 year anniversary and blog hop
Sew Many Cards Challenge - anything goes
Inspire me Fridays - Anything goes
Fabulous Friday - use ribbon or twine

I really appreciate it that you take the time to look at my blog and leave such lovely comments. Thank you each and every one of you.

It's time for an Unscripted Sketch

My second post today - this time for Unscripted Sketches.

You can flip the sketch, rotate it… create a card, a scrapbook page, or anything your imagination comes up with! There is no right or wrong way, as long as you are using the Unscripted Sketch as the inspiration and basis of your creation!  Please pop across to the challenge to have a look at all the lovely inspirational pieces.

My card is very simple.  I have taken a piece of Tim Holtz paper, mounted on to co-ordinating blue card.  The image is a download I have lad for some time, and I thought she went so well with the colours.  The sentiment is a download as well.  I have mounted this all on to a strip of crushed silk ribbon, and added a Prima pearl flower centre and a line of pearls underneath.

Pink reigns again for Unscripted Sketches

I am so late posting this for  Unscripted Sketches  and our latest challenge.  Once I had decided what paper I wanted to use the rest was quite easy for me.  A brilliant sketch to follow.  I did however alter the circle and the square because the balance did not seem to be right with mine.  Please do pop across to the challenge to look at all the lovely creations.

My background paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Delovely pad.  There are some really pretty papers in this pad, which I know will get a lot of use.  The base card is a White Silver Shimmer card, and I have used the same card for the white accents on the front.  The flower strip is a Martha Stewart punch, and the circles and squares have been made with Nesties.  The flowers and the little square have been embellished with tiny pearls.  I think I could not have got a better match from my flower - which is Prima.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

Ai Factory - Flowers in bloom
Wee Memories - Anything Girlie
Sugar Creek Hollow - Circles
A Gem of a Challenge - Pearls or Swirls
C.R.A.F.T. - Flowers
Cute Card Thursday - no text

I really appreciate it that you take the time to look at my blog and leave such lovely comments. Thank you each and every one of you.

Unscripted Sketches - My first DT post

Good morning again - this is also scheduled - so I hope it appears.

This time round I am showing you my DT item for  Unscripted SketchesThis week is a slightly different take, and we are asking you to do a 'piggyback'.  Earth Day is Friday next week so to promote that, and to encourage a variety of projects, the piggyback is to recycle something.  You could use a craft item in a unique way, or use something that you've had forever (use it in a new, fresh way instead of throwing it away), but also, you could use something that isn't normally used as a craft item. Cardboard from a cereal box as the base for the cover of a mini album, crepe paper or tissue paper from your last birthday to make a flower to decorate another gift or card, etc. You get the idea. Have fun with it!

Please do pop along to the Challenge to have a look at all the wonderful pieces of work.

I have made a card and have something recycled on it.  You will have seen from my previous post that I am using quite a lot of Prima flowers.  Well they are packaging them on some very useful card with script, ledger, etc, so every piece is going into my useful bits box.

For this card I have used a new Sarah Kaye image, which I have coloured with Copics. My papers are Sumer Cottage from Daisy Bucket, which I have had forever.  This is layered on to cream cardstock.  The mount behind the image is my Prima recycled card.  To embellish I have used a large flat gardenia from Wild Orchid Crafts and some pearls.

I am entering this for the following challenges

Freshly Brewed - Cute and Sweet
Simon Says Stamp - Card for a Child
The Paper variety - Flowers

I really appreciate it that you take the time to look at my blog and leave such lovely comments. Thank you each and every one of you.

News .....

Hello everybody

I hope all the mums out there are being spoilled rotten today.  I don't think it has to mean loads of pressies either - although they are nice - it can just be somebody taking over the kitchen for the day, having a treat for breakfast etc.  Mind you - my dear OH often takes over the kitchen as he is a brilliant cook with all the basics, and things like chilli always taste much better then mine.  Perhaps it is just that he has cooked it!

I'm Unscripted

So to my news - I am really pleased that I have been chosen to be part of the design team at Unscripted Sketches.   I love working with sketches - seeing how the combinations go together.  Unscripted Sketches have a 2nd Blog Anniversary blog hop on this week, so please pop long and join in.

I really appreciate it that you take the time to look at my blog and leave such lovely comments. Thank you each and every one of you.
