DT Card - One Stop Card Craft

Good morning one and all

I can just here you all saying - yippee - its the weekend!  It's also time for the next One Stop Card Crafts Challenge.  This week it is a photo inspiration and we are sponsored by Dew Dropz Crafts.

I have printed paper from the Essence of Nature CD  and have  stamped my tree on to this.  The paper reflects the natural beauty of nature, and this is, in essence, what I have tried to capture from the photo provided for the inspiration behind this..

I have made a flower using  the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die.  The paper for this is from the same CD, and I have lightly inked over with distress inks.  Some ribbon has been added and a sentiment.  In all, quite a simple card to make.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

Pollycraft #59 - Add a little Nature!
My time to Craft #105 - In the Garden
The Shabby Tea Room #25 - Old Meets New - Old = the stamp I have used - New = the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die for the large flower, and also the CD from which I printed the paper
A Crafty Little Place - #54 - Anything Goes
The Paper Players Challenge #13 - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Just the One
Crafty Emma's Challenge #2 - Floral frenzy
Creative Belli Challenge #99 - Old Stamps

I am off to another workshop at the Stamp Attic, so I hope this publishes for when it is scheduled.

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

Birds and Pearls

I had been worried that my mojo was disappearing, but I think it is because I have been feeling a bit crap with a stomach bug I cannot get rid of, though it has certainly been better today than for the last 5 or 6 days.  Anyway Crafts 4 Eternity have a sketch that I really liked, and also a theme that appealed - Use the sketch - Include a bird (s) - Include pearls.

So I have made used of a stamp that has not been inked up for a long time, and also printed some paper from the Peacock Summer Party Twin-Pack CD by Glenda Waterworth to go with the stamp.  The papers on this CD are simply beautiful with some lovely colour options, and inserts, tags, etc.

So to my peacock - I have stamped in Versafine, and coloured with ink taken from a Big 'n' Juicy pad called Waterfall, and also Derwent Inktense pencils to give a richer colour mix.  The papers are three toning papers from the CD, with cardstock from Coredinations to tone,  The flowers are long forgotten ones as well - the large petals behind the Prima satin flower are some lily ones I pulled apart in order to get the colours I wanted for the embellishment.  The punched edge is done with a Fiskars punch, the corner with EK Success, and the pearls are from stash.

I am also entering this for:

- Cute Card Thursday #124 - Whateva!
- The CD Sunday Challenge - Anything goes

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments

Monochromatic - One Stop Crafts Challenge - DT Card

Another week gone - it has just flown.

The theme at the One Stop  Crafts Challenge  is Monochromatic this week. .

My card was inspired by something that I had seen made by Lin Brown of LB Crafts, and all the lovely B Line stamps I have - of which there are many, all bought from LB Crafts over the years, and I am ashamed to say that do not get used as much as they should be.

The  card is shades of grey.  The papers are printed from  the Artylicious Decadent Brocade CD, available from Graphicus - one page I printed as is, and the other I printed in Greyscale to get a lighter colour.

There is a minimal amount of colouring on the lady for her jacket and body parts.  The flower underneath her I have layered, and the lady is on foam pads to make her pop out a bit.  The swirl is been embellished with pearls,

I am entering this for the following challenges:

Totally Papercrafts #24 - Swirls and Pearls
Paper Sundaes #25 - White and one other colour - mine is shades of grey
Pile it on #26 - My favourite things - I started using B Line stamps when I started crafting and whatever else I use I will always come back to them - these are my favourites for many many things ....

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

Mojo Monday meets .........

Happy Father's Day to all you fathers out there.

Another day, another card.  I have followed the sketch from Mojo Monday for this.

This card is something I have not done for a while, and even though I say so myself , I am quite pleased with it.  The images are from two Elusive Images plates - Eastern Grasses and Fresh Florals, both available from Graphicus.  I love the delicacy of the grasses, and the floral images are so life like.  This was a lucky mistake, because I stamped with Versafine, and was going to watercolour, and not concentrating properly picked up my Copics and started colouring!  Normally I would not use Versafine with Copics - however no smudges from the black ink at all.

The sentiment is computer generated, with some gems from stash.  The papers are Stampin' Up.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

Mojo Monday #143 - following the sketch provided
Creative Card Crew #52 - Thank you
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Ice Cream Flavours - well my favourite of all time is Blackcurrant, which I remember from a holiday in France, so these colours represent that.  Second comes Raspberry.  Yummy!!  However,  you could put one of every flavour possible in front of me and I would eat the lot .....

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments

Weddings .....

We appear to be walking into the wedding season with the beginning of May.  So I am following.

My card is a Lili of the Valley image, and I am ashamed to say that this is it's first inking!!  Bad lady ...  I think they are very cute couple.  My bride is slightly non-traditional, as I decided to give her a pale blue gown, and also another first, I have cut an out of frame nestie, following the very easy tutorial from the lovely Rach.  This can be found here

The image is coloured in Copics.  The background papers, which are very neutral, silvery grey, are printed from the Decadent Brocade CD available from Graphicus, on to White Silver Shimmer Card, which gives a lovely sheen  I have just slightly modified the intensity to get differing tones of the same sheet.  This is mounted on to Bazzill Bling card.  No idea what colour - but I think it was out of a Wisteria colour match pack.  Lace and ribbon are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, with punches used for leaves, and also the double edging across the middle.  The sentiment is from Magnolia, which I bought at the NEC.   I have also used Stardust stickles to give a little bling.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

Charisma Card Challenge, week 20 - its all about weddings
One Stop Craft Challenge, no. 79 - wedding wishes and DT call
CRAFT Challenge, no. 49, - wedding or birthday

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

Penny Black Saturday Chalenge - Week 66

Hooray - I am early for once, instead of entering at the last minute.

I am entering this for week 66 of the PB Saturday Challenge, which has a sketch to follow, which requires you to have at least one PB stamp on your entry. My PB stamp is the embossed snowflakes on the panel above the angels.

The darling little angels are Judikins, which I bought from Stamp Addicts several years ago, and I love it the little one with her fallen halo - she even has her toes crossed.

These are stamped in Momento Ink , and I masked the front two angels in order to stamp the other one behind them. I have coloured with Prisma pencils, but just to give a hint of colour. The wings are coated with Stickles. The snowflake panel has been embossed with a glittery embossing powder. The background paper is from the Artylicious Double CD, Seasons Greetings, from Graphicus. Charms and pearls are from The Hobby House.

Thanks for stopping by.
