DT Post - Sweet Stampin'

Hi everybody

Hope you have all had a great week, and are looking forward to the weekend.  I am just hoping the Wimbledon finals will be as exciting as some of the other matches this week.

On to the Sweet Stampin' Challenge this week - Pearls 'n' Pins.  We are really excited to be sponsored by Quixotic Paperie, and the prize is a £15.00 Gift Voucher to spend in their on-line shop, which has some brilliant stuff for sale - lovely DPs, stamps, altered art, new Viva Deco paint, stamps, etc, etc.  Have a look here.

My image for this card is Lili of the Valley - New Hat.  I think she is gorgeous, and I love hats.  The sentiment is Hobby Art.  The papers are MME Pretty Please, with co-ordinating Bazzill.

I have coloured the image with Copics, the flowers, which are from Wild Orchid Crafts are edged with Stickles, and I have added ribbon, pearls and pins from stash.

I followed a sketch from the LOTV Challenge, no.56, for which I am entering this card.

I am also entering for the following challenges:

The Corrosive Challenge, #70 - Flowers, flowers

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

Get your sunglasses out!

Time flies, and I have another card.  Again I have used a lovely Sarah Kay image, Spring is Back, but I think it evokes summer  with her pretty suntop.  However, I am slightly out of my comfort zone with the colours I have chosen, just because I wanted to use these lovely MME Market Street papers.  I have sparyed the papers with Glimmer Mist Irridescent Gold to give a summery shimmer.

Cute Card Thursday have a sketch to follow, which has been put together by the very talented Claudia.

I have coloured with Copics.  The ribbon across the middle is from stash, and I have used flowers from Wild Orchid crafts - which I seem to have gone over the top on!  These have been edged with Stickles.  The pearls are from stash.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday #117 - followed the sketch above
Paper Sundaes Challenge #23 - Pretty as a Princess
Meljens Designs #12 - Fibre, ribbon or lace - I have used ribbon
Totally Gorjuss Challenge #35 - Sugar and Spice
Charisma Card Challenge #24 - All about bling

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

Welcome, Little One

There is a brilliant sketch by Jane on the Whiff of Joy Challenge this week.  I have loved working with it, and this is the third time this week I have made use of it in various different ways.
The image I have used for this card is Willow with Baby - isn't she cute.

I have coloured with Prisma pencils this time.  The background papers are from an MME pack, with  Bazzill used for the base.  The lovely lace from Bunny Zoe's, and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Pearls from stash.  The punching has been done with a Martha Stewart doilly edge punch.

So this is being entered for the Whiff of JoyChallenge, no 78, using the sketch above,
and also
Pile it On, no. 18, Cute and Cudly - well I think so
Fab and Funky Challenge , no 22, Fancy Edges
Delightful Sketches - pull out your punches
365 Cards, 3 L's - Love, Leaves, Lace - I think this qualifies - baby love
Simple Doodles, You're on my Mind
Simon Says Stamp - Birthday/Celebration - I think this celebrates the birth of a child

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

My first easel card ... for several challenges

Why is it Stickles take so long to dry?  I thought it was dry, picked it up, it is now over my hands, which I promptly wiped on my trackie bottoms because I could not find the wet wipes, and so it goes ......... .  That said, you may have guessed that I have used stickles on my card.  Yes  - on the butterflies, flowers and on the image border.

It is positively spring like at the moment, although we seem to be getting some hard frosts, and my colours reflect this.

This is my first easel card, and I used the tutorial by the lovely Jacqui, which I found the easiest to follow.   My image is from Lili of the Valley - I think she is really cute.  I have used Prisma Pencils for the colouring.  The punches used are Martha Stewart for the butterfly and the leaves are L-Em, which I purchased at Make It.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and I have coloured with with Copics to match the paper, which is MME Market Street (I think - I cut the border off and binned it, so cannot remember).

This is a birthday card for a lovely lady who has been a really good friend for around 36 years, and decided she had had enough of the rat race, took early retirement and moved backed to Wales to follow other interests.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

Wedding card for friend .....

A friend of mine at work is getting married, and this is the card I made for her. No stamping except for the words on the heart. The base card is a white silver shimmer card, and all the white parts on the front of the card are the same card; the various parts have been embossed on the cuttlebug, or cut with nestabilities. The smokey blue patterned paper is MME French Flea Market. All the embellishments are from stash. The inside is also silver shimmer paper to match, and I put hearts all over the paper using the computer, and then adding a sentiment as well.

Thanks for stopping by.

Whiff of Joy Stamps - Guest Designer Call

I have decided to put an entry into the Whiff of Joy DT designer call , which is being done through an annoucement on Katharina's blog and I would love to become part of this DT team. These stamps are fast becoming some of my favourites - the images are so clear when stamped.

The basis for this card is loosely based on a sketch used when I attended a class at The Hobby House run by the brilliant Bev earlier this year.

For this entry I have decided to use Willow with Lantern. I have coloured with Prisma pencils. The papers are Bazzill and My Minds Eye Bella Bella. Everything else was from stash.

Thanks for stopping by.

Create4Fun Challenge

Well - having got myself on blogland, I thought I had better do something other than let it all just sit there - although the last 10 days or so have been all about the dreaded swine flu! So, I am entering my first challenge. Apologies for the pic - it is a scan. I need to work out how best to photograph my stuff - any tips always welcome.

Thanks for stopping by.
