Hello Baby ...

Good morning, and welcome to my new followers.  Thank you so much for joining me.

Today I have two cards with the same image, but different coliourways.  If you love Lili of the Valley stamps then you will recognise this as one of their range.  Both images are coloured with Copics.

For this card I have followed the sketch at Sketch Saturday, with lots of circles, and I really enjoyed putting this together.  The papers are from  Memory Box pad I have had in my stash for a while.  I really like the pink and green combination - very pretty and refreshing.    The sentiment is LOTV.  Lace, pearls and flowers are from stash.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Cupcake Craftroom - New Beginnings
Drunken Stampers - Texture
Lili's Little Fairies - Anything Goes
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes
Sketch Saturday - I followed the sketch
Scrappy Frogs - Die Cuts

For my babt boy card I have followed the sketch at Pixie Cottage from last week.  I think the papers are from a Kaisercraft baby pad - but have lost the outer covers from the pad so cannot be sure!  Again the sentiment is LOTV.  Pearls, ribbons and buttons from stash.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Bling It On - Love is all around - and I guess love means lots of things
Crafters Companion - Anything Goes
Cupcake Craftroom - New Beginnings

Thank you

The challenge at Lili of the Valley this week is Thank You, and I thought this little girl with her present of a flowering pot was just right.  I know - no sentiment - but I tend not to put them on until I know who the card is for.

My image is coloured with Copics, and I have used paper from an Authentique pad which I was a RAK from a friend.  It is so pretty, and I love the pink colours.  I have team this was black cardstock.  Pearls, a piece of stripe ribbon, a handmade flower and butterflies complete the picture.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

Good morning peeps

What a brilliant few days we have had weather wise - just lovely.  I also had a fab day at LB Crafts and did a workshop with Lin Brown.  So what with Artsy Crafts and this day, there was defintely no Hobbycrafts show for me this week.

A card for a child - One Stop Card Craft Challenge meets several others

Hi everybody

What happened to the sun that came out Friday morning?  Who switched it off?   It has been dark, damp, dingey and cold since then.  Well - I knews I had to get my entry done for the One Stop Card Crafts Challenge, and that I needed to start on sorting out my craft room.  Easier said than done me thinks, but I have made a start.

At One Stop Card Crafts this week we want to see a card for a child.  We are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish.   The have a large range of digital stamps and papers - so why not go along and check them out.

Please pop along to One Stop Card Crafts to have a look at the fabby creations of the team, and enter our challenge.

For my card this week, I have followed the sketch from the Lili of the Valley Challenge.  I have also used an an LOTV image called Big Present, and I think you can see why - poor little boy - the present is almost as big as he is.  My papers are from Nitwit Collections, Bear Boys To.  The dark brown cardstock is some I discovered when having a sort - it is Cordinations Chocolate range - with brown one side and blue the other, so I used the reverse side for the corner pieces and the backing on the greeting.  I have used Copics for colouring.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Lili of the Valley Challenge - - following a sketch by Dena
Charisma Cardz Challenge - Birthday
Crafty Sentiments - Anything goes

Collecting the tree ... for Sweet Stampin'

Good morning to one and all.  What a week it has been - snow everywhere, more to come, and lucky me I got a pretty nasty virus on my PC.   I was searching for a new Christmassy look for my blog, and looked at one site that has their own backgrounds and lists other blogs with free backgrounds as well.  I started going down the list, and opened one blog that has quite obviously had been hacked into or deliberately placed, and it was full of the most disgusting porn with the virus lurking.  It took me virtually all day to clean my PC.  Although I have all the standard anti-virus applications, none of them worked against this, because everytime I tried to do a scan this virus prevented it, until a free download from Microsoft called Security Essentials did the job.  This sort of thing makes me so angry.   I did email the blog concerned, and they have removed the offending link - it was not their fault.  Enough of the rants

Anyway I have a background I just had to have - the birds are my namesakes so what is a girl supposed to do when she is a Robin as well!!

On to this weeks' Sweet Stampin' challenge.  We are sponsored by LadyBug Crafts Ink, and I know there is a yummy prize for the winner.  We woud like to see your backgrounds created especially for your card - that means no branded DPs, but you can create one of your own.

I have done something fairly simple and have stamped and embossed with Winter Wonderland embossing powder straight on to my base card because I did not want to detract from this beautiful image from Lili of the Valley.  For the trees in the background I followed a project in the December issue of Craft Stamper  by Kay Carley for a technique using copics.  i thought it looked so effective so gave it a go.  The tree stamps I have had for years, and I have never used them, but they just suited this, and after colouring I added some Diamond Stickles..  For the sky I brushed some Distress Ink through a Spellbinder Impressabilities.  To finish I just mounted the whole thing on some Bazzill and finished off with a toning satin ribbon.  No greeting as I am not yet sure who this is for.

Snowy blues .... for several challenges

A card that seems somewhat appropriate given all the snow everywhere today.  My cats have been sitting at the window mesmerized with the snowflakes floating down.

Once again I have chosen a lovely Lili of the Valley stamp for this card.  Ths one is called Skating Along.  I have coloured with Copics, with copious amounts of glitter on the furry parts of her clothings, and added some silvery glass shards to the ice.  The sentiment is also Lili of the Valley from one of their newly released sets.  The papers are from a Bearly Mine Christmas set.  Edge punch is Martha Stewart as are the snowflakes.  The flowers are, as ever, from Wild Orchid Crafts.

DT card - Buttons and Bows

Hello Sweet Stampin' fans and of hello course to anybody else who tunes in here on this bright crisp morning.

I think I am finally getting over my fluey cold, with all its associated nasties.  Three weeks now - and I know of several people including my sister who have been suffering for much longer.

So, this week at Sweet Stampin' our theme is Buttons and Bows.  The prize this week is 6 beautiful pins from Pretty Pin Emebllishments.

My card is a boy's birthday card, so there is a little bit of ribbon, but no bows - I don't think a rugby playing little boy would like bows!

The image is LOTV as is the sentiment from their new range, which I purchased at NEC.  The image is coloured with copics and the background inking is Distress Inks.    This is supposed to be a mucky rugby field.  All the papers are from Basic Grey Oliver, with Bazzill for the dark green background.  Buttons, brad and ribbon all from stash.

i am entering this into the following challenges:

Elllephantastic  - Red and Green - well I have a red button, and the little boy has red hair!
Digi Doodles Best - Red and Green
A Spoonful of Sugar - Anything goes
Meljens Designs - Buttons and Bows
Prairie Fairy Designs - Buttons and Bows

Thanks for stopping by.   I love comments and really appreciate you taking the time to look at my blog..  Keep safe if you are travelling.

DT Card

A second card from me today.  This is my DT card for the One Stop Craft Challenge, and this week we are looking for Snowpeople on your cards.

Our sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish.

So, on to my card.  I have chosen this lovely snowman by LOTV.  Their stamps are brilliant, and I cannot enough of them.  I have coloured in Copics, and added a fair amount of Stickles in Diamond, plus added some Twinkles to the snow as well for some texture.  My sentiment is from one of the new LOTV sets, which I bought at the NEC.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, with pine branches punched with a L.Em punch, and a swirl done with a Marianne D die, to which I have added a couple of crystals.  The papers are from the lovely Memory Box Mistletoe.  The ribbon is from stash.

Do pop along to the One Stop Crafts Challenge blog to see all the lovely projects from the team.

I am entering this card for the following challenges

Lili of the Valley - Glitter and Glitz
Paper Play Challenge - Let it Snow
ABC Christmas - X is for Christmas with the option of flowers

It is no secret that I love the stamps from Lili of the Valley and this week LOTV have a lovely challenge  - One for the Girls - and I think it suits this little lady down to the ground.  This was one of my purchases at the NEC last week.  Horror of horrors! - I thought I had got all the new stamps, and then when I glot home discovered I had not, so am going to have to wait until they are released on line on November 12!

This cute little lady is coloured with Copics, and I have added some Glossy Accents to the teapot.  The pearls are from a batch I bought from the Hobby House at the NEC, papers are Nitwits digi papers, the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the lace is from stash.

DT Post - Sweeet Stampin'

Good morning to one and all

I hope you have had a brilliant crafty week.  On Thursday I went with two crafty friends, Anne and Chrissie,  to the NEC for Hobbycrafts, and of course, it involved spending a fair amount of money, and having a great time!  I spent a fair amount of time drooling over the work on the PaperArtsy stand and watching Leandra demoing.

This week at Sweet Stampin' we have a photo to give you inspiration for your creation, which I guess will give you lots of choice for your colours.

We are sponsored today by Pollycraft

and one lucky winner will win a set of seasonal digis.

I have chosen to use the pinky colour as my main colour again - cannot get away from it at the moment - but there are tiny accents of the other colours as well.

I have used a Lili of the Valley image - Christmas Candle for this card, which has been coloured in Copics.  My backing papers are from the lush Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby paper stack.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and I have punched out some holly leaves and fern to go with them.  Some pretty pink and white lace, crtstals and loads of stickles complete the picture.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

Craft your passion - Anything goes
Charisna Cardz Challenge - With love at Christmas
Fairytale Challenge - Everything goes
PaperPlay Challenge - Circles
The ABC Challenge - G is for Glitter
Incy Wincy Designs - Anything goes

An autumn coloured card for several challenges

A late Monday evening posting for me.  I sort of got waylayed because I wanted to watch Spooks during the evening, so did not finish until late.

I have folowed a sketch from Crafty Creations #88 .  This card has a Lili of the Valley image, which I have coloured with Copics.  I have used paper from K & Co Ancestry, which has autumnal colours, using both sides.  The base card is a pearlised card on to which is mounted some tan card to co-ordinate with the Ancestry paper.   I have embellished with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, which have some stickles on added a couple of pearl pins, and some little gems.

I am also going to enter this card into the following challenges:

The photos are pooh and I will try and get some more tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.
