My darling little pewter Persian, Fanta, became unwell over Christmas, and although she rallied a little for a day, it was quite clear that she was not going to get better, so we had to take the very sad decision to have her put to sleep on Thursday. This very spiky little girl is going to be sorely missed, but 19 years is a very long life for such a little girl.

Aww Val i am so sorry to hear about your poor cat i know how you are feeling right now as its not long ago that i had to make the same very sad decision:( even though you know in your heart that its the right choice it still hurts but you have lots of happy memories and nothing can take those away.

oh Val so sorry to hear this a hard decision to make but you have done the right thing we had our adorable smokey 17years and we had to let him go too so know what you are feeling hun. we have now 3 rescue cats which we are going to keep 2 of them are nine months old and the eldest one is about 2 and they all get along so well with my little westie
