Happy Birthday Fanta

My darling little pewter Persian cat, Fanta, really Silver Fantasy, and sometimes known as Fanny, is 17 years old today.  Who would have guessed that she would out-live both her brothers, by quite a few years, particularly as she was so ill in her first year with constant gastroenteritis, and has barely grown above the size of a one-year old.  She is one spiky little girl, and is still first for her breakfast and dinner, and won't sand any truck from my two new boys that are now 17 months.  This was taken in the summer when she was sunning herself.  Sun!  What sun???

I really appreciate it that you take the time to look at my blog and leave such lovely comments. Thank you each and every one of you.

  1. Having been a breeder myself of persians I can truly say that Fanta must be living the life of riley in your house as she doesn't look her age one little bit!! My 3 remaining persians are youngsters compared as the twins are 11 and their sister 12.
    Have a Happy christmas.

  3. What a beautiful cat Val! My Mum recently lost her Persian (a beautiful smokey grey) and he was only 10 so your Fanta is doing very well.

I'm sorry I been awol again recently. I am so ill prepared for Christmas this year it's not true! I blame it on the blooming snow that keeps confining me to barracks, Lol! Anyway, I'm really sorry to find you've been laid low with the awful bug that's doing the rounds. I think I've been fighting it off for the past couple of weeks and have a feeling it will probably smack me in the face come the weekend. I'm really glad you are now on the mend though and wanted to wish you a really Happy Christmas and all the very best for 2011. I hope it's a good year for us all.

See you in the New Year.

    Hugs
    Lesley Xx

  5. Merry Christmas, Val! I do hope you are fully recovered now and I wish you the very best of the Season! Hugz, Lesley
ps-my cat is called Santa for short (his full name is Santa Claws) - he was a stray who arrived at Christmas. Not nearly as pretty as your Fanta but equally spikey and still my best four-footed buddy!
