DT card - Buttons and Bows

Hello Sweet Stampin' fans and of hello course to anybody else who tunes in here on this bright crisp morning.

I think I am finally getting over my fluey cold, with all its associated nasties.  Three weeks now - and I know of several people including my sister who have been suffering for much longer.

So, this week at Sweet Stampin' our theme is Buttons and Bows.  The prize this week is 6 beautiful pins from Pretty Pin Emebllishments.

My card is a boy's birthday card, so there is a little bit of ribbon, but no bows - I don't think a rugby playing little boy would like bows!

The image is LOTV as is the sentiment from their new range, which I purchased at NEC.  The image is coloured with copics and the background inking is Distress Inks.    This is supposed to be a mucky rugby field.  All the papers are from Basic Grey Oliver, with Bazzill for the dark green background.  Buttons, brad and ribbon all from stash.

i am entering this into the following challenges:

Elllephantastic  - Red and Green - well I have a red button, and the little boy has red hair!
Digi Doodles Best - Red and Green
A Spoonful of Sugar - Anything goes
Meljens Designs - Buttons and Bows
Prairie Fairy Designs - Buttons and Bows

Thanks for stopping by.   I love comments and really appreciate you taking the time to look at my blog..  Keep safe if you are travelling.

DT Card

A second card from me today.  This is my DT card for the One Stop Craft Challenge, and this week we are looking for Snowpeople on your cards.

Our sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish.

So, on to my card.  I have chosen this lovely snowman by LOTV.  Their stamps are brilliant, and I cannot enough of them.  I have coloured in Copics, and added a fair amount of Stickles in Diamond, plus added some Twinkles to the snow as well for some texture.  My sentiment is from one of the new LOTV sets, which I bought at the NEC.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, with pine branches punched with a L.Em punch, and a swirl done with a Marianne D die, to which I have added a couple of crystals.  The papers are from the lovely Memory Box Mistletoe.  The ribbon is from stash.

Do pop along to the One Stop Crafts Challenge blog to see all the lovely projects from the team.

I am entering this card for the following challenges

Lili of the Valley - Glitter and Glitz
Paper Play Challenge - Let it Snow
ABC Christmas - X is for Christmas with the option of flowers

Remembrance

Good morning everybody - I cannot believe it is Saturday again.

First of all before I get on to my DT card for the One Stop Card Craft Challenge this week, I would like to announce who won my candy from the OSCC Blog Hop .......... Chosen by my lovely OH.  It is ..............

Trish will you please email me your snail mail address so that I can get the candy in the post to you.

This week on OSCC the theme is Pop-Ups, and we are being sponsored by the Digi Doodle Shops Best Store.

I have done a very simple Pop-Up, and my theme is Remembrance - a time for remembering all the brave men and women who have given their lives in the service of their country, that we might be free.

I take no credit for this beautiful image - it was a digi from Marjie's Malarkies.  It comes with various other bits and pieces, and I used a flower and leaf to create my own backing paper, and of course most people will recognise the words from 'In Flanders Fields' attributed to John McCrae and written in WWI.

My pop-up is very easy to make, it simply has a piece of concertina'd card behind the image, which allows it to lay flat to go into an envelope, but when opened the image pops-up.

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

It's fluttering snowflakes at Sweet Stampin'

Hi Bloggers

I hope you have a great weekend wherever you are and whatever you are up to!  I sincerely hope you are not affected by the storms around at the moment.

The theme this week at Sweet Stampin' is Snowflakes, and the team have produced some fabby works of inspiration for you, so please pop across and have a look.

I have been playing with Lord Tim stamps for my project this weekend.  It is an 8 x 8" card - I am quite liking this size at the moment, and have made quite a few Christmas cards this size.  For the background I stamped with Versamark and embossed with Ranger Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder in Silver, and then coloured with Distress Inks in a variety of blues.  For the piece the reindeer is on, again I stamped in Versamark, but embossed the snowflakes with clear embossing powder, and then stamped the reindeer in Versamark and embossed with Ranger Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder in Black.  Again I coloured in Distress Inks in blues, but added some green at the bottom and a smidgeon of Scattered Straw around the area of the antlers.

My snowflakes are cut with a Martha Stewart punch, and I covered them with glue and dipped them in Twinklets.  I have added some crystals to these and a few tiny ones to some of the snowflakes on the card.

Our sponsor this week is Tiddly Inks, where you will find a large range of digi stamps, papers and other stuff.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

The Stamp Man - Christmas
Bah Humbug - Reindeer
Crafty Calendar - Winter Snowflakes
ABC Christmas - W - Winter Wonderland
Oldie but a Goodie - Distressing

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

A white Christmas ...

An all white card that is very simple.

Simon Says Stamp is looking for something all white this week.  I have embossed some white shimmer card with a Christmas Tree and added dots of Ice Stickles to it.  I have given it a minute gold edge - I am useless with a Krylon pen, so this seemed to be the next best thing.  The whole thing is mounted on to more white shimmer card on to which I have embossed some lines.  Bad girl - no stamping - so hope it counts.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - are you all white?
Craft your days away - all white
CRAFT challenge - dry embossing
The Creative Cottage Challenge - embossing
Patty's Creations - Christmas card
Creatlicious Challenge - all white

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

T'was the night before Christmas ...

Another Christmas card today.  I bought this lovely Sarah Kay image - Noel Peace -  last year and never used it.  I think it is so sweet.

I have coloured this lovely little angel with Copics, and she is peeking out from behind the curtain at the night sky - hence all the crystals added to it.  My papers are from the Basic Grey Figgy Pudding range, and sadly this is the last of this particular one.  I edged all round the patterned paper with a versamark embossing pen and  dipped the edges into Starlight embossing  powder.  I have also done the same with the snowflake border towards the bottom.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and I have removed the centre of the Christmas rose and replaced it with a brad.  The lush satin ribbon is an ebay purchase.  The acetate snowflakes are covered with Glamour Dust.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge - Twas the night before Christmas

Just an old fashioned girl ...

It is no secret that I love the stamps from Lili of the Valley and this week LOTV have a lovely challenge  - One for the Girls - and I think it suits this little lady down to the ground.  This was one of my purchases at the NEC last week.  Horror of horrors! - I thought I had got all the new stamps, and then when I glot home discovered I had not, so am going to have to wait until they are released on line on November 12!

This cute little lady is coloured with Copics, and I have added some Glossy Accents to the teapot.  The pearls are from a batch I bought from the Hobby House at the NEC, papers are Nitwits digi papers, the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the lace is from stash.

DT Post - Sweeet Stampin'

Good morning to one and all

I hope you have had a brilliant crafty week.  On Thursday I went with two crafty friends, Anne and Chrissie,  to the NEC for Hobbycrafts, and of course, it involved spending a fair amount of money, and having a great time!  I spent a fair amount of time drooling over the work on the PaperArtsy stand and watching Leandra demoing.

This week at Sweet Stampin' we have a photo to give you inspiration for your creation, which I guess will give you lots of choice for your colours.

We are sponsored today by Pollycraft

and one lucky winner will win a set of seasonal digis.

I have chosen to use the pinky colour as my main colour again - cannot get away from it at the moment - but there are tiny accents of the other colours as well.

I have used a Lili of the Valley image - Christmas Candle for this card, which has been coloured in Copics.  My backing papers are from the lush Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby paper stack.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and I have punched out some holly leaves and fern to go with them.  Some pretty pink and white lace, crtstals and loads of stickles complete the picture.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

Craft your passion - Anything goes
Charisna Cardz Challenge - With love at Christmas
Fairytale Challenge - Everything goes
PaperPlay Challenge - Circles
The ABC Challenge - G is for Glitter
Incy Wincy Designs - Anything goes

A Christmas robin - or rather four robins .... and a DT Call

Bearly Mine Designs are looking to expand their team, and have asked for entries to be submitted using their papers.  There are lots of freebies on the site if you do not have any.  I don't have any of their Christmas papers so used these lovely holly freebies which go so well with my little robins.  I have made a flower using Marianne Ds dies, and punched some leaves.  The flower is held together with a sparkly brad.  My robins are coloured with Copics, with Glossy Accents added to the berries.

Robins are so often seen on cards for Christmas, so I had to go with the flow.  This is from  http://www.imag-e-nation.com/.

I am entering this for the following challenges:

One Stitch at a Time - Christmas
Bee Crafty - Christmas
Marks Finest Paper - Holiday cards
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Anything that flies
Stampavie and More - Christmas

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.

Melinda blowing love and kisses

The Digi Bells Design Team have had a Guest  DT call, and I have decided to enter it with this card.  The lovely image is Whiff of Joy Melinda Blowing Kisses, designed by Elisabeth Bell.  I have coloured with Copics.

I have gone with an all-pink scheme - really girly - with some Lush papers and using mounts from Bazzill.  I decided it nedded a bit of texture, so have covered the side pieces with some lace, and added a lace flower with a pearl.

Two sketches were provided, and this is the one I followed:

I am also entering this for
Stamp Something - with Pink
Alphabet Challenge - A is for Angels and Fairies

Thanks for stopping by.   I really appreciate your comments.
